Advisors & Coaches
Parliament Advisors lead our peer cohorts, bringing decades of real-world experience to every conversation. Our Branding and Career Coach works with participants individually on personal branding, positioning, and career strategy. All share one commitment: helping technology leaders do their best work.
The Role of Our Advisors & Coaches
Each Parliament Advisor leads a dedicated cohort, bringing experienced perspective to the challenges our participants navigate today. They are not consultants and they are not selling anything. They are peers, former CIOs and technology leaders, who understand the weight of the decisions our community faces and are committed to helping the next generation of leaders think more clearly, lead more effectively, and build careers that matter. Our Branding and Career Coach works with participants individually, offering candid guidance on personal branding, leadership positioning, and career strategy.
Mark Settle has held the CIO role seven times across industries ranging from financial services to technology, a track record that gives him a rare perspective on what separates good IT leadership from great leadership.
A three-time CIO 100 Award winner and two-time author, his most recent book, Truth from the Valley: A Practical Primer on IT Management for the Next Decade, distills the hard-won lessons of a career spent at the intersection of technology and business strategy. Seven members of his prior management teams are currently serving as CIOs at publicly traded companies.
As a Parliament Advisor, Mark leads our next cohort, beginning in November, bringing candor, pattern recognition, and a deep commitment to the development of the next generation of technology leaders.

Ken Ferguson has spent his career at the intersection of business, technology, leadership, and human capital: recruiting IT leaders for his clients, and helping those leaders build careers that endure.
After starting his career as a Systems Engineer at IBM Canada, Ken moved into recruiting. He has since worked with thousands of IT professionals, giving him a perspective few in his field can claim: he understands both what organizations need from their technology leaders and what those leaders need to grow, thrive, and transition as the market for their talent changes. As founder of Berkshire Executive Search, he leads retained searches for Chief, Vice President, and Director-level technology roles in large and mid-market companies. His search model is to work full-time on just one search at a time, an approach that focuses on premier results rather than high volume.
That one-to-one discipline carries into his work as a personal Career Concierge for a select group of senior technology executives navigating key career inflection points.
As Branding and Career Coach, Ken works individually with participants on the branding and positioning tactics that turn self-awareness into market presence, bringing the outside-in view of someone who has watched more technology leaders navigate career-defining moments than almost anyone in the field.
